Friday May 18th at 8pm CET the OMNIA website will go down for a while so that I can move everything to a new location. I expect to be finished within the hour, but the changes to the DNS can take up to 24 hours (the thingamabob that translates the site address to a number which your computer actually uses to reach a website).

In the meantime, you can still visit Facebook, Youtube, iTunes, Spotify or all those other places which have OMNIA content to get your daily shot!

Please allow me to introduce ourselves...we're a band of wealth and taste!...
from left to right: Didgeman-Daphyd, Guitarman- Philip, Damien the Roadie, Steve Sic the me, Drummerman Rob, Mistress of Melody Jenny, Merchmaid Chloé, tourmanager Jan and Supersoundguy Sascha... This is the gang that brought you the OMNIA- "I don't speak Human" tour...which we finished with an epic show last saturday in Köln (Germany)... that was it!... the last OMNIA tour is now officially done (and seeing as the world will end in 2012 this was also our last tour ever,because next year we'll all be dead!.... so if you missed it...too bad ;-) (luckily we've recorded it all though...for the live-album we're working on...)
BUT ANYWAY...We will be playing our last theatre show (of this season) in Stads gehoorzaal Vlaardingen coming friday the 11th and after that the Festival season starts for us (but more about that later) Thanx so much everybody who showed up for our tour , and thanx especially for all the lovely gifts that you've given to us! ...Stay weird, Stay real, Stay Green, and Don't be fooled by the Media Monkeys!!! On the road to Germany... (reprise) (2012-05-01 15:06:07)

We're packing! (again) to go to Germany to tour! (again) to finish off the last part of the
OMNIA "I don't speak Human" club-tour ... Yeah!... We still have three dates left to play in Germany : Leipzig 3rd of may, Giessen 4th may and Köln 5th may...sadly the gig in Bremen was cancelled because of the inevitable bovine-faeces music business bureaucracy... (musicians are like simple addicted prostitutes who's performing life gets dictated by the pimps (bookers) and the brothels (venues and festivals) of the entertainment branch... ah well! We will just rock harder at the venues where we DO go!
We're actually recording all the upcoming shows for our new live-album! and in Köln our video friend Erwin and his ninja -stealth -video crew will be filming the show aswell! So if you come to one or more of these shows, be as loud and as pretty as you possibly can and maybe you'll appear on the new OMNIA CD or a on a video with us too!!! We'll also have our sweet friends of Las Fuegas joining us on stage for a few songs at the Leipzig show! Well...I'm looking forward to being back in beautifull Germany for a while...although I'm not looking forward to the motorway Zoll ambt rummaging through my bags again! ;-) (but that's the price you have pay for having Dutch licence plates on a cool looking van!)... anyway, jedenfalls, de toute façons, in ieder geval, de todos modos see you at one of our coming shows! Happy Bealtaine!!! WARNING! this is a Celebratory message coupled with political ranting! (do not read if you are sensitive to these things!) (2012-04-30 15:03:40)

Today is the official ancient-Celtic start of summer, and from where I'm sitting I must say: yeah baby! it's here allright!!...Wow what a lovely sunny day!... in Holland on this date most of the (non-arab) dutch populace prefer to celebrate the fact that the whole country is still enslaved to an inbred-family of German/Spanish dictators who were once (in the 16th century) given a city in france called Orange...thus turning that unfortunate colour into the ,main celebrational hue of all things "Dutch"... Holland is covered in the colour orange right now like a giant Fanta-rally.... I personally have no orange coloured items to wave aloft as I say the traditional "Oranje Boven" (which means "Orange über alles" in the language of the nederlands)...but I have found an orange tinted face-cloth on my mother in Law's washing line with which I wish to join in with the revels of my "fellow countrymen" in celebrating the wiping away of all the many sins perpetrated against the simple peasants of this land over many many centuries by the family of our noble hat-bearing Queen Beatrix and her jolly fat son Willem. (sadly because of brain damage due to massive inbreeding the dutch/german royal family have always lacked the imagination to think up a better name than "Willem" for any of their male offspring ...it's always got to be Willem van Oranje ...or Kaiser Wilhelm or somesuch dosh....erm...and that would be William in English...(and especially in Irish, if you know your history well)... Bizarrely enough this family of puppet masters of the Netherlands who own most of the shares in nearly every large company in Holland have NEVER actually allowed a true dutch person to marry into their little mafia family since they stole the throne back from the Dutch republic after Napoleon had strutted his stuff in these parts...they are a strictly German inbred family (with exceptions to a certain blond south american generalissimo's daughter ofcourse...who is probably at least a quarter german after the 1945 exodus ;-)
Ah yes , I'm ranting again! (well it's a dirty job but someone's got to do it) thank you for reading this and if you're Dutch maybe it'll inspire you to look up a bit of your own country's history and read between the lines to what is (and always has been) going on... To change the human world and think up some new way of doing things we first have to get rid of the old one...because what we're doing now (drowning in blind consumerism while voting for yet another corrupt government of corporate asskissers and royal lackeys who will only collapse like a flan in a cupboard AGAIN leaving even more of your tax cash running into some rich family's account, really has no use...does it?)
so dear friends and other peasants... celebrate "Queens Day" and spend lotsa money, wave the orange flag high in the air and piss on the memories of your ancestors who fought for your freedom and the Doomed Dutch Republic... :-)
But seriously if there's one thing to celebrate, celebrate the summer which is here... again and again...the yearly cycle of life that has nothing to do with silly humans and all the lies, rules and laws they invent to abuse and control their fellow monkeys ...you only have one life , live it Free! (if only in your mind)

We just finished a bit of breakfast and exercise , plus some practice and getting ourselves "tarted up a bit" with showers et make-up et all....because we're playing a theatre tonight (de Meenthe in Steenwijk). By tonight my stage make-up will probably be dripping down my face so I'll look all emo, but who cares?.... that just makes it more real... Tonight we're trying an experimental instrument set-up with some weird percussion instruments but including the full drumkit ...so we will be playing a very dynamic Theatre show ranging from super-soft to rock-hard... Peace in the Sun (2012-04-22 17:31:19)

We're lazing on a sunny afternoon...Birds are singing in the trees around me as I type these words sitting outside in the garden and I'm overcome by a distinct feeling of peace and satisfaction. We played a lovely theatre show yesterday night in Tilburg and we're fine-tuning some things in the way we play it to make it..just so! (if you know what I mean). The audience was great as always, you always make us feel at home , wherever we end up...and thanx so much for the beautifull gifts! ... Today we chill and come back down from our shamanic-musical cloud of joy...thanx again for your applause and your support last night!...Today I'm "normal" again... I've tended my young plants and put some more seeds to germinate this morning... so that I feel that I've contributed my little piece to the flow of life today... Life has a rythm, like music. Life is Fun when Work is Play... (2012-04-18 16:01:55)

So , I'm working "in the office" at the moment, which means I'm hammering the keys of Pandora's box (my laptop) as a form of communication with the outside world... I'm sitting in an upstairs bedroom with my office clothes on, amongst all the piles of OMNIA instruments that we store at Dreamharps...I'm working quietly because Jenny is downstairs teaching another very good Harp-player some of her "special moves" etc. ( Jenny's "student" today is Janine the winner of the Rosa Spier Harp Concours , because the first prize was a masterclass in Celtic harp technique by Jenny) ... Jenny is actually a great award don't you think?... I feel like I've won first prize every day when I wake up next to her! Anyway...our work is our play, we play when we work...speaking of which:
We're performing in the theatre in Tilburg this saturday! Yeah baby! playing a mix of our Poëtree and Musick for you...
PLUS we're going to start recording this weekend for the new OMNIA live- CD!! ......(there , I said it at last...we're gonna be making a new cd this year! ...well... OK we've made at least one per year for the last 10 years, so it will not come as a surprise to some, but still....it's might be nice to know that we won't let you down and that we will provide you with yet another little silver disc to add to your growing collection of the sound of the sound that our life makes, there is no release date planned yet, because we're still not very commercial and still too freaky to be businesslike but it will probably be this coming autumn/winter somewhere...)

So here I am again, writing my share of gibberish in this Babel of words, opinions and bollocks... You know I always feel a little dirty when I've written something on the web , it's almost like I've been masturbating to snuff-porn or thinking about torturing and drowning puppies or something...I feel the internet is a deeply sick place... it's the amount of Bullshit in this "free" medium that really gets me...I feel somehow infected by it, when I participate in it (spot the quote)... I know I can only reach a lot of you through this "new" form of communication, but sadly you are not the only ones "out there"...When I read the deceit on this web I am stunned at the amount of lies that people can make and take... I see national socialist politics dressed up like Ghandi in a peace parade... I see product-advertisements with noses as long as pinocchio on viagra... I see butt-ugly people looking like photo models on their profilepictures... I see relationships on the brink of collapse that look like true love-Romeo and Juliet romances in web terms... I see fake money-making project bands and festivals, dressed up like avant garde groups with a mission ... I see the hate and the distrust between people that have lost the ability to talk and be honest shining through the funny emoticons and the "nice" comments with which they come on each other's facebook (d'ya like the pun?)... I see the statistics that the greatest amount of the internet is still taken up by Spam and Porn...what does that say about the modern , computer using-human race?....So every fucking time I sit down and write something here I think to myself it will be my last time, because I don't want to be in this world of deceit in which the people with no lives , who normally would never speak out in public suddenly have the most to say...
So these are my thoughts today...this is what I really think, it wasn't made up to make you like me more, I didn't write it to sell tickets or cd's, it's just another sad little opinion in a veritable polluted ocean of opinions...and to prove my sincerity I will add a grotty looking picture of what I look like on a sunday afternoon, after a 2 hour work-out , before I have a shower (because Jenny is still in there as I write this) Greenz and truth (especially on the web)... thanx for the healing crowd! (music is the great healer) (2012-04-08 11:58:01)

Sometimes Jenny and myself get thanked by members of our lovely audience for making "healing" music when we play the private Poëtree concerts. They will suddenly start to cry during a certain song or disappear into their own souls to deal with some issue that is left unsolved within them. Because we've been involved in paganism/shamanism for most of our lives it is always been natural for Jenny and me to put all our real life-energy and self into the music we write and play. Some people notice this when we perform with the band OMNIA although tehn we work fully amplified through microphones and speakers etc in a club or on a busy festival surrounded by all sorts of noise, commerce and pretentiousness. It is really a totally different kind of ballgame when we play close-up in a 19th century "salon setting" without any amplification… The music is made and experienced in its purest rawest form… just the air which seperates our bodies and forms the medium to carry the sound as a bridge between our souls……so obviously emotions start to flow…on both sides of the stage…(I really had to concentrate to the utmost yesterday not to start weeping during our rendition of "Danny Boy", a song which we taught ourselves to play on the day that my father died)… But is it fun? I hear you wonder…why the hell would I go to a concert where I end up crying and remembering all sorts of stuff that I have locked up in my soul?…well that's the funny thing…afterwards you feel much better, we revel in talks of life and creativity with whomsoever is there after the concert… and apparently it's very addictive, because the group of people that visit our Poëtree gatherings is a very tight and loyal group indeed! Everytime there is a little shifting in who made it to "this one" but overall these very intimate gigs are shared between a group of people from Holland , germany and switzerland who come again and again to the house of my awesome parents in law Ans and Hans van der Harten, who (like the aristocracy of bygone days) sponsor our musical recitals by providing a home for our music to be heard by you…and you know what?…we get healed by you. Ofcourse we need to make music to survive, because it is our life's blood, our bread and our heart. But playing it for you, emotionally "naked" as it were, and then being able to relax and chat with you after such an intense experience is truly one of the most beautifull experiences in our life… thank you, again…XXX love and respect …Stenny (pictures of the audience being "cultural" and the audience being "happy" made by dr.Sic…) ps: the next 2 Poëtree concerts will be in May 2012 but don't bother trying to get tickets because they are already sold out. We'll let it be known when we plan some new dates in the future.. pps: Mr.Fluffy wanted to write something too , but I got to the keyboard first 'cause he's out playing with noodle in the garden!

Dis is me wid my frend Noodle the Poodle.... him wot used to be an Imaginary poodle-shaped frend who just lived in da mind of SteveSic an' Jenny...but now he has becom a reel Poodle'o'Morphic Personnification made of fuzzy stuff thanx to the clever-artistic hands of the Coen-Gang (you guyz ROK..thank you!!) An he is jus' like SteveSic said he would be on the stage during the OMNIA "I don't speak human tour"! A Poodle called Noodle widh lotsa long brown/black dreadlocks, lotsa shiny dread-beads, a red scarf with a bell on it, a golden tooth and an evil green glass eye! He reeelly is dha cutest liddle badass poodle dhat you evver did see! Me reely loves all dhe OMNIA fans and frends who make me cuddly fammily to play widh! Noodle is such a great frend and now me is nevver lonely, becos me has taught him to do trickz , like sit! and playdead! , kill the postman! and psychopogo! and in dha garden where dha plants ,dha bugs and dha birds grow, me can throe stick for Noodle to fetch an stuff ... Great fun! SteveSic and Jenny were a bit worried that we wouldn't get along togedder , becos me used to hate the Noodle song and me tought Poodles were pussy...but me has grown up a lot and have learned to deal widh jealoussy and preddjuddus becos Me is a very Mature Unicorn nowadays...Like Stenny who are also very mature and relaxed people... so if you evver hear someboddy tell you dhat dhe peeeples in OMNIA are crazy insane psycho peeples, you can tell them dhat a fluffy unicorn playying with a dreadlocked evil poodle told you that they are as sane as Mama planet herself .....it's the monkeys in shoes who are Mad... Back in the Theatre...Feels good! (though a little scary) (2012-04-01 17:55:29)

So last night we were back in the Theatre in Ermelo for the first show with our new set up... and it was cool (although we were all a little nervous because of all the new arrangements , the very high level of concentration and the weird prehistoric/shamanic stuff that we had put into the performance..But yes! it was cool to play some of the soft songs we never get the chance to play on the festivals (like "Moon" with the beautifull hammered dulcimer , which you see Jenny playing on this picture by our good friend Marcel Bakker) ...The audience was very mixed , with a lot of the older generation of theatre-goers joining the crowd,aswell as a lot of pretty familiar faces ;-)
The reaction we got to "het Dorp" was really funny, because a lot of people seem to think that I speak only one language, so they were surprised to hear me sing in Dutch...I even got an applause just for speaking dutch!... what a night though...the quiet , peacefull artistic atmosphere of the theatre , people all sitting relaxed in comfy chairs, just listening to our musical offerings ...and...flowers at the end of the show! (thanx lovely people of the "Dialoog" theatre for treating us so well again!)
Sadly Rob's stomp box v2 didn't survive this gig because he was hitting it so enthusiastically during the hillbilly version of "NoodlePoodle" that he rammed right through the bloody thing on the end of the song with his Shillelagh-stick! (back to the drawing board for version v3 Rob)...(speaking of Noodle, it seems that our imaginary friend the poodle-omorphic personification called Noodle has become real...we received the most wonderfull cuddly hand-made version of him after the show , complete with dreads, gold tooth and glass eye...and he is now playing with mr. Fluffy upstairs...I'll post some pictures next week...anyway, thank you to everyone who was there yesterday. We hope to see you soon again at one of our upcoming shows (the next gig is a stenny-solo Poëtree which is already sold out, but there are still tickets for the OMNIA theatre shows in Tilburg (21-april) and Steenwijk (27 april) in which Rob can try to smash the next version of his stompbox live on stage for you! Today is the first gig of our "Musick and Poëtree" Theatre tour! (2012-03-31 13:27:42)

We're really excited about doing the first show, because it'll have so many new things in it … and it will be the first theatre show ever with Rob , who can finally show everybody that he is also an amazing all-round percussionist aswell as an awesome drummer! I wonder how the audience will react to our new sound set-up and what they will make of the soft songs (we're even going to do "het Dorp", which will be shocking to some because it's in Dutch!)…anyway, we're almost ready to go go..we're just gonna make a couple of sandwiches and a thermos of tea to take along and then we're off! ….see you tonight in the dialoog theatre in Ermelo or later in one of the other theatres…or someplace else… greenthingz Stenny and OMNIA

I'm actually designing the new Wickerman for this year's ritual at the moment (well it'll be a woman though...) Only the Musick can show you the way to go Gnome... (2012-03-28 12:15:28)

Look at these beautifull woolly Gnome Hats that we got last week , hand made for us by a very sweet and creative fan ( Athanasia )... As you know I love weird woolly hats (especially to stop my head getting cold in the evening ,because my tattoos might look cool and pretty but they don't keep my head warm as well as my dreads used to) . They came with cute little bellz on the end, but we have taken the little tinkly bells off and put some other (non-tinkly) ones on because they were not so well tuned for our delicate gnome ears... Today we will have the last practice session for the upcoming OMNIA theatre shows... There's a lot of stuff which is totally different than our "normal" clubtours or our "ordinary" festival shows...so there's plenty for the band and the crew to memorise and practice! You can check out what we've been doing all this time during one of the 4 SPRING 2012 shows in the theatres (there are less than normal due to the present eco-Gnomic crisis)... or check it out in one of the 15 WINTER theatre shows in octobre/november 2012 that will be announced in our agenda soon! But anyway...we have woolly gnome-hats... So even though we're still kinda of homeless, we're definately not GnomeLess and now I will post this message , leave our gnome-page and we will drive our mobilegnome to dreamharps where we will boogie like rolling Gnomes playing to the beat of da conga and da bongos, 'cause we don't like metro-gnomes...Greenthingz in long pointy hats! Hey guys, I'm really sorry to say that 2 of the upcoming theatre gigs have been cancelled ... the one in Leiden next month will be moved to later this year (13th of Octobre) and the one in Alkmaar has gone all together... we're sorry for the inconvenience and we're really sorry that we won't be able to play then :-( ... for all of you that have already reserved and paid your ticket..you can ask the theatres where you got them how to change it or get your money back... (so now the few remaining OMNIA theatre shows this spring will be very rare indeed! and thus exceedingly more special!) Greenz! OMNIA

Sword in the Sun (2012-03-24 17:45:06)

Gods I love the sun! Today is such a sweet day of practice at dreamharps because I got to start this morning with some exercise in the sun…there's nothing like it to start a creative day! A bit of limbering-up and stretching , then a few sets of quarter staff moves followed by a few Kata's and slowmo moves with a blade… 'cause you gotta stay fit ,If you wanna rock Pagan style! …it helps to focus…of course I always do this in the nude to improve my inner cowabunga, but for the photo I wore a towel to cover up my bits , in the hope that this picture won't be scrapped by the thought-police on the net… I like the towel, though I'm not sure it goes well with my ninja face ...anyway, today is a good day, me like!..The OMNIA-van has been repaired and is running smooth again!..YEAH!…the band has been practicing like crazy these last weeks to arrange and finalise all the songs for the upcoming theatre shows .which was fun!..We'll be having a full amplified rehearsal next monday and then the first show on saturday the 31st (check out the wrong info HERE )..( because venues never seem to get the right information about your band from the booking agency )…anyway..we have changed the OMNIA set up for this "MUSICK and POËTREE"- tour , Rob will be playing WITHOUT his DRUMKIT (!!) and he now has a whole toystore full of freaky drumz and stuff (even including a huge Shillelagh with a wolfshead on top) we have some really beautifull OMNIA songs arranged and ready now for these more intimate theatre shows for Seated audiences. Which will be nice and relaxed for us to play..(well…all exept Rob ofcourse who will be quite occupied with remembering which drum or stick he will need to play all his extremely complicated and weird new drum rythms…) We're more used to people jumping up and down and dancing in front of us and now they will alll be sitting down…maybe we should also sit down aswell when we play?…or would that be too relaxed? ..anyway, I'm just writing this stuff to let you know what we're doing right now because it seemed like the proper narcissitic internet-using artist kinda thing to do. I just feel the need sometimes to let you know how we're doing because you take the time to listen to our music and our message , so I owe it to you to tell you that we are continuing to live our life as it is in the songs…sometimes life is hard, sometimes life is soft, but all times life is beautifull… we're happy, we still don't have our dreamhouse, but we have a garden in the sun at dreamharps!…now I'm going to go and play some more Poëtree music with my sweet wife …peace and greenz Dr.SteveSic (picture by Musashi )

It's a beautifull spring day today, we cleaned the Stenny garden yesterday and today we are assisting nature in waking up on this hopefull Ostara....which is also our wedding anniversary.... we're lovely and busy Putting seeds in safe little earth cradles, making sure the sun can reach all the planty-bits that need to be reached, trimming away the dead and rotten stuff so that the green can shine on through again, tha soundtrack accompanying this spring ritual is 'ol time 50's rock'n'roll , groovy shit man!...hmmmm! We love the spring (as we love all the season's changes) It makes you feel the heartbeat of life in a big way... we wish you all a hopefull, bright and natural new year... REAL LIFE, REAL MUSICK for REAL PEOPLE (2012-03-14 12:32:52)

So that was a GermanTour..wow!... That was really the most amazing fun..I think it's over now, because the hotel I'm writing from seems really familiar,the bed is mega-comfortable, all the breakfast was ecological, the coffee was perfect just the way we like it and I'm sure I saw a fat bag of grass lying on the table downstairs...SO WE'RE HOME AGAIN! We survived another one! yeah baby!
...there and back again like uncle BILBO...It feels good to return after such a successfull road-trip-music experience..Jenny and myself we're starting to get quite sick on tour because of a little influenza present we got off Euzen in Bochum (thanx Maria! ;-), but we kept the bugs at bay by using ginger, honey and our wytchdoctor special-powers! And now we're home so I can relax again....my throat has given up the fight and my voice is gone...(which is very restfull for those around me) . The whole OMNIA team had a great time on this tour , and the family-feel was amazing with the addition of roadie Damien-Raven! (my son). And may I mention that our Fans are the loudest, most enthusiastic most FuckestUppest great people in the world! Thank you for your ENERGY!!! It's cool to know that we can get such a wyld and crazy RockShow energy out of you guys by playing our full ACOUSTIC Pagan musick... and if you missed our shows this time, or you want some more soon , don't forget we will return to Germany in May for another 4 "I don't speak human" tour-shows in Leipzig , Giesen, Köln and Bremen...(and ofcourse we'll be hitting many many festivals in Germany aswell (check out our agenda). Yesterday we went completely bananas in München and FolkRocked the Backstage club where a huge crowd made us feel really at home again! And tonight with the hangovers still fresh in our fuzzy heads we are setting up the stage to play like Stags in rutting season again today in the HIRSCH club in Nürnberg! We're going to go ALL-OUT Pagan-crazy because this is the last gig of this part of our "I Don't speak Human" Tour, so be there to share the madness with us! Well…Last night was awesomesauce! My Gods! what an enthusiastic audience in the LKA LongHorn in StuttGart! We had a "first" for us yesterday..let me share it with you..we finished our kick-ass OMNIA show set and the crowd yelled for more (so far everything is normal this always happens…) We gave them a fat encore (Morrigan!!!) and left the stage, our soundman Sasha put on the after-show music tape and they still carried on yelling for more (this sometimes happens)…We went into the backstage and started towelling off the sweat and taking off our in-ear monitors and electronics etc. and the beautifull crowd kept on yelling for more! AND they didn't stop at all, they were still yelling and screaming all the way through the first aftershow track…(this has never happened before like this!)…so even though we were really finished, we decided to rush back out on to the stage strapping on our receivers etc "on the run" to give this wonderfull crowd just a few more PaganVibes from the old OMNIA music arsenal…what a gig! we love you guys! and tonight we're playing in Mainz in the KUZ (where I'm sitting right now writing to you…) gonna have me some PaganFun tonight!!! chillin' in the backstage…part 6…Waiting in the backstage for dinner!..and tonite we gonna rock the mega cool and megafecking huge "LKA Longhorn" in Stuttgart (and we just saw that EMINEM, the CRAMPS, BURNING SPEAR and other such fucking megapeople have played here before us and have been hanging around in this backstage aswell) …Gosh! Now we really feel honoured… I'm sitting on the same sofa that has graced the asses of Michael Mathers and Lux Interior…I'm melting in spasms of groupie hero-worship…and so are the rest of the guys/girls! Rest and repairs... (2012-03-05 13:55:39)

Yo! the tour is really going great so far, we are having a good time on stage and off......Wow! German audiences are soooo enthusiastic and friendly and loud!!!!! You guys really make us feel at home in your beautifull country (so many trees and deer and nature still...it makes me warm inside and it makes me want to go into the forests with Jenny to...walk and stuff...;-)...Anyway, we're back in Holland for one whole day! (arrived last night, leaving tomorrow mornin' again) Because we have to change our OMNIA van for another one because it needs to many repairs..we had two road stops to get the ADAC to look at our bus because it was a little broken...again...(thanx to the heroes of the motorwayhelp brigades ADAC and ANWB!) Tomorrow we set out with another bus to make the long journey to southern Germany (with even more Forests!!) We hope to see many of you there in the great German venues where we will be playing! Lots of Greenthingz, Revolution and Love SteveSic, Jenny, Philip, Daphyd,Rob, Sascha-sound,Chloé-merch, Damien-roadie, Jan-tourmanager and...mr.Fluffy!

Tomorrow we hit the road again! We're gonna be staring at a lotta german-autobahn for a while and hitting the German clubs hard with our PaganFolkRock set! Spreading the music and the word...bring on the german fans!!! We're looking forward to seeing all our old and new friends in the various cool venues where we're gonna play!... all of the preparations have been finished now...(it's a lot of logistical nightmare stuff to get a show like OMNIA on the road)...we've been last-minute working all day on the phone with Jan our tour-manager, checking stuff with the band and crew, packing the merch. with sweet Chloé and ofcourse fingering "pandora's box" (my laptop) for fecking hours because somehow life just wants to force us onto the internet for communication... I hope the german policeforce and zoll ambt don't stop us too often for checks (because we always look soooo interesting to them!) Anyway, we will rock gladly, you will dance and shout like crazy and together we will feel ALIVE! see you there if you're gonna come, see you elsewhere if you don't...Greenz and a big Pagan Cyberhug to you! Group Therapy ;-) (2012-02-26 15:22:54)

Last week was really a totally crap week!...Lots of stuff went wrong (and ofcourse all of them were expensive). We saw and experienced way too much real "human behaviour" of a typically egocentric , pointlessly callous and ridiculous nature... We still haven't found a larger house which we can rent so most of our instruments are in storage and I still don't have a quiet place to write and paint...(you might have difficulty believing this, but all the places we've tried the people don't want to rent a place to us because the value of their property goes DOWN if we live in it!, because to them we are artists who look strange and dangerous...) Combine that with the ever increasing destruction of our natural living space all around us and the earth as it is for our friends the birds ,the animals, the plants and the trees! It just drove us up to the edge of madness and the will to keep on fighting was crumbling...because "there is nothing you can change about how the world of humans works"...it's enough to drive oneself to contemplations of suicide sometimes because it all seems so bleak...grumble....BUT!
Then we get on the stage again (this time 013 in Tilburg) and we look at all those smiling faces in a packed venue...And I suddenly realise that I know so many of these wonderfull people...with quite a few I even know their names! (I'm notoriously bad at remembering names normally , so that means quite a lot to me) I see the freaks and the friends, the lost souls and the searchers for truth and beauty in this weird world...and then I realise that sometimes I'm just a complaining old git (I'll be 45 this year) who should just stop whining get on with being a Shaman. Don't look at all the shit in the world , look at the positive side , look at the wonderfull inspiring people around us , and feel the energy and the love that will nourish this fight for the survival of a sacred natural planet! Thankx again for all your love and strength, we love you too! And we'll put our darker thoughts into the music and turn it into Art and Energy! (we're actually writing quite a lovely little piece about suicide at the moment!) so life goes on , we'll stand strong while you stand beside us...hold my hand , so I can dance the Shaman's dance untill I Die! ....respect , peace to the peacefull ,war to the wankers! Poëtree is BACK!!! (2012-02-22 12:14:56)

OMNIA Poëtree is back for an intimate weekend at the beautiful and cosy atmosphere of the small DREAMHARPS venue in Mijdrecht! OMNIA-Poëtree is the 'solo' project of Steve Sic and Jenny in which they get to play and record all their favourite songs as covers, next to playing all the more poetic and soft Omnia songs (something they cannot do with the full OMNIA setup). It is a more Bardic, traditional and intimate way of making music in which they explore their musical roots. This spinoff project has been performed on the main stages of Castlefest (Holland) and Festival Mediaval (Germany), but usually, they play it unamplified for very small audiences for the greatest emotional effect.  Tickets are VERY LIMITED so if you want to be there to celebrate the return of the Sun in an old-fashioned and poetic style with us, be fast! After the show there is always the chance to meet Stenny personally at the beautifull fireplace of Jenny's parents' comfortable livingroom in Dreamharps...(see our photogallery for pictures)

Spreading the Pagan Love! (2012-02-16 17:02:05)

Thank You LVC in Leiden! What a great night we had, You guys rock! I could really feel the Love that joins us and you on the mega-hot stage... I felt like I'd fallen into a bucket of extacy...Don't forget that all of OMNIA's music flows forth from the Gigantic Love between Jenny and Me...that's what gives us the strength to write, it's that which makes the melodies and the words flow. That Love sustains us and guides us through the paths of life , through goodtimes and bad, OMNIA survives as long as the Love of Stenny is strong...And we can only play this Pagan-Life-music properly if enough Love is felt between us and the other band members...the Love we share with Philip, Daphyd and Rob makes the show strong and real....the Love we share together with YOU is what makes the whole experience work as it should. We love our Clan and we're loyal to each other, we ignore the outside world and the traitors to Life and Nature....That's what OMNIA is all about!

Yesturday was fantastic experience for us all!, we hadda great gig, we hadda wunderfull time an all the sweet friends and fans that were there made it really the best way to spend a sunday afternoon! Guess who's back in the Neverlands? Stenny had a harrowing yourney from Københaven to Holland yesterday. Massive storms on the road, we took a ship across the sea from Denmark to Germany during the same storm and our new black van pounded the motorways for 9 hours (with just Jenny behind the wheel) through lashing rain and galeforce winds. With just the odd crushed up "fast" sportscar wrapped around the safetybarriers to break the monotony...(some people never learn). Denmark was great fun we got to hang out with our danish buddies eating and drinking traditional Danish newyear stuff. Spent some time in the studio to make something cool for our clubtour...While we were visiting Harald's house he complimented me on my words on our last cd..(Harald Juul is a great man,a former Danish Viking chief who has now become a paganpriest of the nordic religion and whom you might have seen as the cool white-haired guitarplayer in "Euzen") To express his respect for our message he offered me a gift, I was allowed to choose any one of his collection of fine swords OR any one of his collection of beautifully carved animal skulls to take with me... HARD choice! because Harald used to be a very great and active swordfighter (like myself) and he owns the most amazing selection of beautiful death-irons ranging from viking to roman to medieval. My time as a physical warrior is over, my weapons have changed...My swordhand now holds a microphone...that is my weapon. I chose a beautifull Cow Skull with a celtic/viking crossover carving on it to hang on our altar, so each day I look at it as I perform our daily rituals I can think of Harald the Viking, his land, his religion and the timeless strength of the pagan-Danes to strengthen my soul instead of my sword-arm. My weapon is my Microphone which heals while it slays, my Combat is my concert which liberates through music instead of destruction, My battle is our beginning, the green revolution ... Januari Rose in my buttonhole... (2012-01-02 16:42:15)

I just went for a walk in a park somewhere in the suburbs of København. The weather was very mild and the sun came out a bit,so I didn't need my normal heavy wintercoat. I borrowed a light summerjacket from my friend Christopher Juul instead and had an invigorating wander around. There were all the regular city-park-kinda-things I've come to expect to enjoy when going on walks like this in various cities of europe and beyond. There were the ducks (looking a little traumatised still from the new-year battle) there were the neat little gravel paths with a smattering of garbage to follow (as is normal). There were the usual pointless concrete and steel "design-installations" that nobody wants instead of old trees (as is to be expected). The grass was cut to the usual military crew-cut shortness and the e.u sponsored fitness machines looked as unused and purposefull as a duck in a spacesuit (as is to be expected). A small group of boys from various cultures were actively practicing racial-integration and group-bonding by lighting-up old bits of soggy fireworks and trying to blow things up (again all seemed normal and just as it should be in the happy and free civilised western world)...and then I spotted the rose...???... a rose?... and there!, another one! and another... and another! roses growing on the 2nd of januari up here in the northern reaches of europe. Now that is something out of the ordinary for me. I've never seen that before. They looked very squishy and weak, but still...roses! I told the plant that it should go back to sleep because it's time hadn't come yet, and the rose just looked a little embarrased and told me" But all my friends are doing the same! I'm sure it's my time now, I can feel it" I looked around and saw that she was right , thousands of stunted little roseflowers and buds were popping out everywhere. I didn't want to make the rose too upset ...I mean how can you explain to a flower that it will die if it carries on doing what it's doing right now just because it "seems" the right thing to do given the circumstances...so I just smiled and told her she was pretty and smelled like spring. (which made the flower happy ) I then asked this particular rose if it would mind being picked by me, so I could wear it in the buttonhole of my borrowed jacket so that many more people could gaze upon her beauty and marvel at this wonderfull white januari rose...she said "take me" so I did. And this is her...the danish winter rose... Our world is changing, that's a fact. A lot of things will become uglier, but some things will just become more beautifull and more special.
The trick to life is ignoring the brute lies of humanity while seeing the beauty which is life itself. You know I hate humans (as a species), but the sum total of the love I feel for my family and my friends is far more than all the "species-hate" I have inside of me.(and even though I'm ashamed to admit it, my family, friends and me aswell are all at least partly human) so brave people on the edge of the freeworld let's live each year like it's our last! focus on the good bits that our space-monkey-race is capable of! Love and Beauty, Art and Nature appreciation, poetree and musick, sex and cookery the good thingz in our lives...they'll keep us going, they'll keep our hearts warm! Happy New Year!...through a crack in the concrete , a flowers grows... (2012-01-01 17:35:45)

..Sic opens one bleary eye and switches on laptop....what happened?... what time is it?... urgh.. 16.30?!... what the f... oh yeah...newyears party... drank too much whiskey... smoked too much weed... sang soo many songs... laughed almost till I barfed... (didn't make pictures though sorry, we were having too much of a god time to remember the camera)... head feels a little fuzzy now... so it's... erm... 2012? Hey! that's the end of the world as we know it!..isn't it? (smiles) YEAH!!!
Last night the traditional blowing up of a few thousand million kilos of cheap , chinese-made colourfull explosives has helped us into the 2012th illusionary year of the mutant monkey. As the extremely loud sound of the war on Nature still echoes between the concrete officeblocks and industrial waste lands and the really fecking gigantic cloud of carbon dioxide laced with all sorts of air-bound poisons slowly seeps into the atmosphere to join the other manmade crap floating there we face yet another year on this planet. So Let's make it a positive one! Let's make believe that the insane planetary bacteria which is the human race will finally stumble and fall to join the dinosaurs , the intelligent crabs and the atlanteans on the bottom end of the wheel of life. I see wars brewing like never before, I see climatic change being helped along by misguided monkeys everywhere, I see political upheaval and monitary madness, I see the media becoming more and more disconnected from any form of truth or reality, I see the insanity that is us coming to an end...I see hope for all the plants , trees , fish and fuzzy creatures at last! I look forward to a year of change. I look forward to the green revolution which will start today!

Sic's incomprehensible blog again (2011-12-10 15:43:18)

We've been practicing some more juicy new ways of playing really old favourite OMNIA songs of ours for the upcoming "I don't speak Human" tour. To keep it all interesting for ourselves and for you guys,girls ,Fae and spacemonkeys aswell. Although we realise that we'll NEVER be able to please everybody (not that I have any wish to ofcourse) But as your life in a PaganFolkRock band progresses, you start to notice that "your" audience can be pretty incomprehensible sometimes. Ofcourse I never read any of the heated negative discussions on the various Fora (or would that be "Forums" nowadays?) or stuff like that because I prefer to stay sane and relaxed. But I do sometimes get to hear about the funnier statements , a few of which I would like to share with you...like:

"OMNIA is ALWAYS the same!!...they always play and say the same things!!!....I've seen them so many times and I just can't believe that they always do the same!!! ... how boring!!!Time for a change!!! " (note the multiple exclamation Marks, a sure sign of insanity)

but apparently we also get the same amount of the opposite, which is:

"OMNIA has changed way too much!!!, I don't recognise them anymore!!!...this isn't OMNIA...this is not the PaganFolk they have pioneered, this isn't the music they should be making!!! (and ofcourse an OMNIA fan should know much better what kind of music Jenny,me and the band should be making than us ;-)

(giggles) funny isn't it?...I suppose it says something about the duality of life itself BUT thankfully we don't write or perform our music for this brave breed of "internet critics" We live this great life for OURSELVES , for NATURE and for YOU. As long as YOU like our music ,our message and what we do we'll stay true to what we are. Because I think that you can see that we're actually a TREE .
YOU understand that although we seem to be different to that first young sapling that was innocently growing in the sun so many years ago, we are still exactly the same Tree with the same strong root as before. It's just that our branches have become stronger and our fruits and flowers grow brighter and more wholesome with each passing season... If you think that OMNIA has been doing nothing except practicing these past few months because we are so busy preparing for our German and Dutch tour....think again! Because this week sees the release of the pilot episode of ourlatest Art project: OMNIA's "ALMOST HUMAN" documentary series on the Omnia you-tube channel!
This is the start of a whole range of short episodes of really beautiful "behind the scenes" videos made by our friend Erwin van Dijck and the OMNIA gang, about Life in the World of OMNIA! So you can expect to be given a close-up look at OMNIA ...the mad musicians, the preaching pagan lifestyle , the freaky freedom fighters but also you'll get to see us just as people...
-there will be plenty to laugh about (if you have a brain and a sense of humor!)
-there will be shocking stuff (that the other people can happily complain about!)
-there will be live-recorded song concepts (so you can hear how we make music)
-there will be tips on playing instruments, cookery classes, joint building instructions, inside looks into our homes...and much much more!
We'll be releasing a new episode approx. every two weeks for as long as we like doing this (and for as long as you guys enjoy watching it). Yawn!..trouble waking up today...Stenny spent last night doing some awesome ROLLPLAYING with Damien, Myrthe and my (oldest) friend Tijn of subcultures (who is also ex-OMNIA by the way)...exploring the outer limits of fantasy and pagan-theology on a table with miniatures and dice...Ah! the roll of the D20,the confusion of notes, the rustle of the crisp bags and cookywrappers, the smell of the joints, the Orcs , the talking swords, the sting of the clichés...yum!... We love rollplaying ,I been rollplaying since the early 80's and it's still a favourite passtime of mine (between reading and pretending to be an underground Paganfolk cult-musician that is)...

Today we've been working some more on our new super-power set for the upcoming paganfolkrock clubtour "I don't speak human".And it's gonna rock! (like a mountain!) This is us having a little lunch break ,Daphyd cooked (free-range) scrambled eggs and we had a good laugh looking at the first episodes of the OMNIA "Almost Human" video documentaries...one very sad note though.... this is the last time we can get together like this at Rob's place in the old army barracks where he's been living these past years. You see,he's being evicted next week (quite suddenly) and the poor guy won't have a house anymore... so, anybody got a place to live for a really sweet PaganDrummer (and his collection of 1000drums) ? greenthingz and Paganhomes! ...XXX OMNIA

Midwinter with Poëtree! (2011-11-06 15:43:05)

OMNIA Poëtree is back for an intimate Midwinter (Yule) weekend at the beautiful and cosy atmosphere of the small Dreamharps venue in Mijdrecht!

OMNIA-Poëtree is the 'solo' project of Steve Sic and Jenny in which they get to play and record all their favourite songs as covers, next to playing all the more poetic and soft Omnia songs (something they cannot do with the full OMNIA setup). It is a more Bardic, traditional and intimate way of making music in which they explore their musical roots. The coversongs range from songs by Nine Inch Nails, Nick Cave, Wim Sonneveld, Jean Ferat and even Tenacious D. This spinoff project has been performed on the main stages of Castlefest (Holland) and Festival Mediaval (Germany), but usually, they play it unamplified for very small audiences for the greatest emotional effect.

Places are very limited so if you want to be there to celebrate the return of the Sun in an old-fashioned and poetic style with us, be fast to make a reservation. See you there!

As you may have noticed our sweet darling Maral is going off to study cultural anthropology (that also includes studying you actually) and she will also be developing her "own voice" as a solo singer (which is awesome I can tell you).

We've already decided NOT to replace Maralli because she is irreplacable to us. (so it's no use to offer your services as the new backing singer for OMNIA) and we will face the stage (and you) without her wonderfull feminine presence just the five of us...

I want you all to wish her well in her future choices and remember her as the loving spirit who joined OMNIA to help us through our darkest hours of betrayal and despair with her smile, her humor and her sharp mind. Thanx Maral, WE LOVE YOU!!

Hi everyone..

As the title suggested, Omnia will from now on continue without me. I didn't leave Omnia, nor was I fired. Jenny and I had a good talk, in which we decided it would be best for me to focus on my own musical career.

Performing with Omnia has been a great experience, and I am thankful for all the good times on stage. However, throughout the time I've been developing my own style and my own voice, something I wish to further explore. I will also happily spend time focusing on my study (Cultural Anthropolgy and Development studies).

But do not worry, I will still be around gigs every now and then.

And who knows, the next time you see me might be with my own project..

Hey guys and girls, thanx for all the beautifull words of support that you have showered onto us, to mark the passing of Dennis. Jenny and me accompanied by our rythmical friend Rob Raido were coping with death by celebrating life these last few days. I've heard many people over the years tell me or Jenny that our music has helped them to overcome some internal struggle, or to deal with loss of a departed friend or family member or to help with life in general. They tell us that if they needed a spiritual lift, OMNIA is always there for them. Now this might sound strange, but we've sometimes been a little jealous of these people, because although it's great to be able to help others with your energy the question then remains: "who's gonna help or inspire us?" (apart from nature ofcourse) When will we see a performance that blows us away and helps us to cope? Well this weekend we found such a man (and his band) to soothe our sorrow. We were lucky enough to get tickets to go and see Michael Franti and his band Spearhead in a sold out Paradiso in Amsterdam and it was really an eye-opener for us. Such energy!, such life! , such dedication! I have never seen such a happy sight on a stage as that 6foot six , dreadlocked peacepreacher on his bare-feet coaxing the audience into a gospel-like frenzy of happiness and hope for a better world. (this is the guy that also went to warzone Bagdad and occupied Palastine with just a guitar and a camera to record his film "I know I'm not alone") He also went down to "occupy Amsterdam" by bicycle from Paradiso on the same day to play some music there. We visited that camp on the beurs too.Although not as many people of the so called 99% actually care about our freeborn birthrights I still find it heartwarming that there are still some people left in these modern tims who try to make a difference by DOING something (instead of jus' talkin' bout it). After A*dam we went down to Eindhoven to chill, played pool with Daphyd (he "whupped my ass") aswell as with Rob (ditto on the asswhupping) .Rob introduced us to a very nice healer Lady who helped put Jenny and my screwed up energy into a better aligned shape...and now I'm back online to tell you all's well enough. Today no jokes and funny messages from Fluffy (he's too sad to write) because yesterday after a long battle against disease , my Father Dennis (Denny) Evans died in his home in Spain.

Spare a thought for the spirit of a man most of you have never met , a man without whom myself and my kids Damien and Myrthe would never have been given this wonderous gift of life.

Spare a thought especially for his widow Tanja (my stepmother) and his daughter Nathalie (my half-sister) for whom this loss is the greatest to bear.

Dis is me in dha car (strapped in for safety) where me spended looooots of time on dha road on our "there and back again" travells ( just like mr. Bilbo) . Jenny drove dhe dreamharps-van more dhen 3500 km of big roads and liddle roads so me saw a lot of stuff on dhe way travelling dhe land on my big adventjure...Sometimes we had a big pile o' traffick-jam (which is not made of fruit but mostly from 1000's of eastern european trucks and doesn't taste naice on your toast in dha mornin' at all)...sometimes me see dha pollice cars drive by an look in ad us (which always makes SteveSic nervous because dhe police always diskkremm ...disckrimmun... deskrimmineigh...PICK on Him) , but when dhe pollice come by I just smile at dhem an dhey see me and dhat make 'em happy, 'cos I'm blue like dhey are, so they no bother us at all! Only on one border did dhe customs look inour bags and thingies but when dhey see dhat Stenny are sweet musicians and dhat SteveSic's case only has flutes innit (an' not guns) dhey wish us a nice trip and waved as we drived off again! But mostly me see all dha pretty land go by my liddle car window, frum forest to hill, over mountain and under mountain ,from desert to sea is all sooo cool. We luv playying in Germany!, there are so manny people that understand dhe musick and she message of OMNIA there! Jenny and SteveSic played a beautifull afternoon set of Poëtree to a huge awedience and they were all soo quiet and lissening an me was allowed to be on dha stage and look at dem all! (it woz a bit scary) becos wen SteveSic and Jenny finnishjed dey forgot me on dha stage and me was suddely surrounded by German people wid bagpipes and 'lectric guitarrs and loud boom!tjack! stuff. ann me woz shaking scared untill SteveSic ran back onto staige to rescue me! after the great pagan weekend of Castlefest, which we finished off with the traditional band-gathering on the beach to watch the sun set...this year it wasn't just Stenny and all their friends, but the band joined them for the first time aswell...(it's cool to have such a bunch of friends onstage aswell as off the stage). Today we drive to Germany to dive onto the mainstage at M'ERA LUNA tomorrow for a fast set of Pagan Philosophy amongst the plastic and latex clad technophile masses of the German Gothic scene. Dis is me on dha staige at CASTLEFEST (not Kesselfest).It woz kool , it ROKT! big tyme!... Stenny let ,me stay wid dem on sunday..here is me in a quiet moment inbetweeen bands, when all de men in black came to clean dhe stage after Stenny played dhe Poëtree gig for the first time on Sunnday (wid Sun!) ...it was awwsome!...it made me go all soft and squishy inside. OMNIA waz very happy and played musick liake dhey were possessed by life and luv. Dey smiled all dhe taime cos mr. Philip, miss Maralli, mr. Daphyd, mr. Rob and Stenny they very happy cos dey meet wit many music frends from all over Yourope..dhere were aal dhe nice Bulgarian frends from IRFAN , mr Norri from CORVUS CORAX and all dhe sweet Danish peopul from VALRAVN and dee happy Vikings from EUZEN (Wid my produuzer frendz mr. Kristoffer and miss Maria from dhe stuuudio!) all of dem went wid OMNIA togedder on dhe Staige on dha PAGAN NIGHT ( togedder! Dhey had 14 musicians playin during Etrezomm Ni Keltey!) and dhey had big flamy fire things on dha staige aswell! it woz awesom!..but me hav no piktjoors yet , Stenny just got home an me just got out of dhe sootcase...ennyway..dat wos on saturdeey me thinks...not sure annymore...it was such a koool weakend! me head is all spinningcurlywig like my horn...soo menny old frends togedder! mr. Happy Lughnasadh! and.....here's our new CD! (2011-07-31 20:30:47)

Another year , another cd release! As I'm writing this the sun has just come out again from behind the clouds ,after too many days of rain... So with luck the sun will shine on Castlefest in Lisse (NL) where we will officially present our newest musical child "MUSICK and POËTREE" on friday the 5th of august 2011 for the first time! From that day onward it will be available in our webshop, in the Dutch and Belgian music stores and downloadable on various internet stores such as iTunes , Amazon etc. (the official German store-release will be in september).This is really our best cd to date (the whole band loves it) and it feels totally fresh and new , while at the same time being more "old-school" and "back to the roots" than our last releases...
We're really looking forward to a fun-packed weekend of wyld OMNIA (the whole band with a really cool friend of ours on Drumz)and bohemian OMNIA POËTREE (Stenny solo) . Ofcourse we want to see as many of you there as possible when we celebrate our crazy Pagan way of life together, so be there!...to avoid confusion here is the complete OMNIA program for the Castlefest main (forest) stage during the coming weekend:

I would like to share with you my personal PAGAN RELIGIOUS/PHILOSOPHICAL CODE OF CONDUCT by which I live my life. (it's in a poetic form ,loosely based upon the warrior code of the iron age hero and king: Finn Mac Cool ) and as I've had an inner Zaphod Beeblebrox inside me telling me what to do ever since I read the books of Saint Douglas Adams I decided upon the name :
                                            the ZAP CODE
( which is in itself an acronym of: Zen - Anthropomorphic - Personification . ie: your inner enlightenment given human shape and character)
At the time of publication a long long time ago, many people merely viewed the heavily iron-age celtic hero "Zap Mc Clannad" (McClannad ="Son of the Tribe") as an excuse to wear plaid skirts ,drink mead and listen to bad irish covermusic but that was never my intention when writing this religious code of conduct. I meant it as a simple guide and mental hand-hold to help myself and all my friends through good and bad decisions we have to make each day on the road through life on this planet.
I quote it here again in full, for your perusal, pleasure or ridicule (whatever you fancy). And one day in the future I'll explain what all these simple stanzas actually mean to me. After many many months of hardwork, endless planning, studio hours, artwork hours and countless smokes.... it's almost there! Our newest baby is almost ready for printing....ooooh! (don't you just love these little moments of excitement?...when you get that special feeling..."yes!!... I realise that Jenny and me have been working our combined asses off for a long time now, and it looked like the stress would kill us, but now it seems like it was all actually worth it!....AGAIN! ;-)

NEW OMNIA CD!

"Musick and Poëtree"

After yet another successfull year of touring and "living the paganlife" with OMNIA, Steve Sic and Jenny (collectively known as Stenny) have written a new Album full of their soul-stirring music and nature philosophy. They've been doing this every year for many years now and "Musick and Poëtree" will be their 14th release to date!! For the first time ever, Stenny have combined creative forces with their friend Christopher Juul (from Euzen, Valravn and Lavastudio København) to co-produce this new work of Art, instead of producing it themselves like all the previous OMNIA albums. This gives OMNIA Musick and Poëtree a very special, fresh new sound compared to the previous 13 releases. Time is running out for this crazy world filled with human-monkey madness and OMNIA Musick and Poëtree adresses this problem and offers solutions as well as comfort for the other monkeys...

Stenny have chosen to release Musick and Poëtree as a unique new concept, namely a "2 disc-album" (2 discs = 1 album).

The 1st disc ("Musick") contains 5 up-beat OMNIA songs (playing time 21 minutes) recorded in Denmark together with the members of the OMNIA live-band: Philip, Maral and Daphyd. New songs like "I don't speak human" and "Free" express the same OMNIA ideals of respect for nature and personal freedom that fans worldwide have come to know and love ...only stronger!

The 2nd disc ("Poëtree") contains 7 gentler, more dreamy, Bardic pieces with a deep emotional meaning for Stenny themselves. Songs they have grown up with or that have inspired them to live like they do. Ranging from European traditionals like the swedish "Gröne Lunden" to interpretations of 20th century classics like the German "Lili Marleen", the Dutch "het Dorp", Tenacious D's "Fuck her gently" and Nick Cave's "Mercy seat". These works have been played and recorded by Stenny in a very intimate and pure setting, completely solo and in one take! This disc also has a playing time of 21 minutes, making the total playing time of OMNIA Musick and Poëtree 42 minutes.

Both discs will be released together in a beautifully illustrated Digipac made by Steve Sic together with OMNIA-art veteran Fieke/Orchus.nl. And after the beautiful illustrations of academy-award winner Alan Lee on "OMNIA-Alive!" it was now the turn of two of Stenny's other talented family members to enrich the booklet of Musick and Poëtree. This time wildlife painters Renso Tamse and Marjolein Kruijt have added their considerable talents to this newest release!

OMNIA "Musick and Poëtree" will be released for the Benelux in August 2011 (Release Party on Castlefest 5 & 6 august, Lisse, NL) and for the German language areas in september 2011 (Release Party at Festival Mediaval 10 September, Selb, D).

It might have come to your attention that we had to let go of our drummer Tom.Even though he was a great addition for us during the live shows, we have decided that we couldn't continue working together because of our musical and professional differences.We are still very grateful for his company, musical contributions and good times,and we are saddened by having to make this decision. Unfortunately,Tom is unable to join us for the upcoming gigs , but we wish him all the best in his future endeavours.Despite the current situation, we very much appreciate and respect him,and he will always remain as a positive influence on Omnia's sound.

Wen we flew bak from Denmarck yesteryesterday we went strait to Szwitzerland next day to play konsurt wid nice peeple of dhe band-Haggard in big swiss rockclub (dough it dint look lika big stonestick at all). She teld me dat she is reee-ennakting a meddiiival person who is reee-ennakting a vaiking or someting like dat. Me want to go too to meddiiival market wid miss Maria bhut Stenny say "no mr.Fluffy, you no go to meddiiival market because fluffy unikornz ar not historrikally korrekt and maybe a big nasty nite will take me away or someting and maybe i get dirty or lost" so me have to stay here wid Stenny in stuudioo because dey have to work more wid mr. Not like mr.Christopher who don't let me push buttons annymoore!..And Stevesic is bussy wid making drawings for dhe CD artwurk and he says me dat me can't help wid dhat becos me is "a Unikornomorfic personnyfikaysjion widdout an oppooozing thum who kannot draw" (waddevver dat means?). Dis is me helping mr Christophferr with mixing a new OMNIA song wid dhe name 'Kstattickka (or someting dat sound like dat enniway) It is fun to doo but after hearing dhe song 1000times it start to become a liddle tired on my fluffy ears. Aldough me brain can't start to dribble out of me head, like wid Stevesic becos mr Fluffy head is filled wid fuzz.I like too help mr. Look dis is me onna hairport!, waiyting wid Stenny to get onna airooplaine..dere it is in de background behind me!Tjek out dhe plaine!It was soo eksiting to fly like a peggasus inna big bus wid wings..Dey let me sit wid dem onna chair soo me could look out da window! All dhe peeple and houses look soooo small and inssighnifi.. inziknificun.. insicnifficon...erm.. not important from up in dhe clouds.kool!. Now Me is landed again in Kopenheygun (dat's in denmark) wid Stenny and mr Christophffer is here (who is a musik teknisjun and bigshot prodooozer like mr. Fluffy here in lava studio) and me is a liddle tired from flapping my arms so hard to fly though.. Stevesic said dat dhe airooplaine wood fly widhout me flapping me arms aswell, but you nevver can be too sure! So here is my reeview of de Poëtree konsurt yesterday nite. It was verry nice and me sooo happy dat me was theere to listen to Stenny play akooostick for de nice people! Everyting dey played was brilliun…bryllihun…brillyon…erm…great! eksept dat stoopid song about dat stoopid poodle wit dat stoopid name nooddle…(dey rote a song about a immaginnari dog , but not 'bout ME!) so me sabotaged Stevesic's boozooki capo..which fell off when dey played dat stoopid song…hehehe!…but all rest was verrry nice and put big smile on me face. Even Stenny seemed a little more realaxed and hippyhappy after a while..dey wurk tooo much som times so I keep dem soft and smiley 'cause I have fluff instead of silly monkey brain in me head so me always sweet and yo..(except wen dey play stoopid poodle song, dey say dey will play mr.Fluffy song for me at konsurt tonite if I prommis not to break capo again…smile…)..so det's all from me now…feel happy, be soft…mr.Fluffy …photo by Stevesic.

Me had a great time in de Hotel in Ulm...Stenny didn take me to dhe konsurt becaus dey say mr Fluffy get dirty and kant sleep in bed den...mmpf..but Me hear it was fun inna big sirkus tent wid a lodda Germann people (not bavarian). ..mr Tom head to leafe veryy early from hotel dis morning..and all de omnia crew aswell and mr Jan who wos helping Stenny wid someting too..so dey wosn't at brekfast wid me and mr phlip and miss marral and stenny..dey let me play wid dhe SUGAR yeh! dhis week end mr. Here is me being a big tuff music prodoozer unicorni...now me look just like mr. Christopher (he is de nice man what runs de Lava Studio) he let me sit behind his big desk and twiddel knobs and push buttons while jenny is tuning her harp. Jenny is been playing an extra "harp on her own" song today about fairies what wos writ by a dead irishman kalled Tullokarrolen (or dat's wat it soundz like to me annyway). My head is still bit fullo feadhers because of last nite, when mr. Kai (who iz a relly cool tatttoo-make-man) came by for to talking with Stenny and mr.Christopher about life ,def and symballs an stuff. I didn't really understend it all and the funnysigarettes they were smoking made me veery sleeepy...but me was very happy 'cause they all real nice special people living on cutting edge of thinking...Stenny and mr. Hi!, I'm mr. Fluffy (Stenny's bezt friend and personally assisente). I am always travel wit Stenny and OMNIA when they go way and I am think it might be coolio to letting you all know what they are be doing in Studioo. ...erm..hard it is to write on keyboard using only one horn, but I try for you! Stenny fifnished almost all recordings for pohtree in only one day! They so sweet making music together..I alwayz dream away on fluffy cloud of happy when they do...only de covver song by mr. Nick Cave scares me some, so I went outside when dey do dat. Stenny is being really happy now mixing strange heya heya Omnia song about naturegoodstuff... Is good day, the sun shining in de skeye...the flower shining in stenny eye (mr. Fluffy also is poh-et! good eh?) I am being verry proud to be here and see beoauti, no, beaauyti, no, beoutif....errr....pretty! CD be made. Maybe me wriete you some more annother day...(If I can borrow dis laptop again!) Blackbird's struggle (2011-05-23 16:04:57)

Last week Philip and I were pleasantly surprised with the fact that there were young blackbirds in the communal patio of our house.But soon we noticed the struggles that both the blackbird-parents as well as the young ones go through in the process of growing up...Within days one after the other died, leaving the parents to be alone in the end.It's really sad how these beautiful creatures have to learn how to fly in between bicycles and garbage, surrounded by horrible noises of chainsaws, cars and loud people.I can only hope that other blackbird-families are doing better than the one we've seen.I would like to ask you to look around you and think of what you can do to make this place a bit more comfortable for the creatures around you.You won't regret it, I promise ;-)

Finally,after many days of touring, we arrived back home yesterday evening..We had such a GREAT time!Except for the times we got stopped by the German police because they were looking for drugs, ofcourse,which we obviously didn't have with us....but let's say it's interesting to see a freaky long-haired, tattooed cop with pink handcuffs ;-)Anyway,we played at many different venues, some of which weren't as good as we expected, and some of which were just perfect! All in all, we've learned so much from this experience, and who knows, we might even do another tour...Thanks to the nice fans who were there, the nice venue-crews, our own crew, dear Beatrice, our sweet friends who supported us, and of course our dear Jan Kühr, you are our hero!And I'd thank many more, but my mind's a bit...non-existent at the moment ;-)
