About Off-screen time...

3 May 2018

We're already working on some things for the next RavenTimes in which we'd like to talk about something we call "off-screen Time"..
What do YOU do when you're not stuck to a screen?
And how do you make sure not to spent too much time in front of zombie-glow emanating devices in the first place?

This is all part of a big masterplan - to keep people seperated sitting alone in front of their screens, thinking they are not alone and amongst others, to prevent them from talking with each other and finding together, possibly for protest. But fact is, in front of your whatever screen, you are always alone. There is an old lyric by New Model Army describing this very well

This golden age of communication
Means everyone talks at the same time
And liberty just means the freedom to exploit
Any weakness that you can find
Turn off the TV just for a while
Let us whisper to each other instead
And we'll hope that the Corporate ears do not listen
Lest we find ourselves committing some kind of treason
And filed in the tapes without rhyme, without reason
While they tell us that it's all for our own protection,
I swear we never asked for any of this

I never asked for any of this - but now it has happened and we cannot do anything. I am forced to sit in front of a screen at work all day - it makes me sick, headache, aching bones and dry, eyes getting worse...in my free time I avoid sitting in front of the screen, I prefer real things to do then...handcrafting, going out, talking, listening to music, spending time with my husband or my pets or both...just "live" my life instead of "being lived" by digital media. I hope you understand what I want to say ;-)
