My Daughter's wedding

I didn't blog for a while, I was busy… because we had to make a trip to the Netherlands to attend the wedding of my darling daughter Myrthe Fortuna to her beautifull, manly, husband Robbie.

In fact as a Father, Grandfather and elder of our tribe, I was given the great honour by the young couple to perform the actual wedding ceremony :-)

While Jenny filled the air with Love, indigenous Spirit and sweetness on her tall Celtic Harp

(how cool is that?…usually the father only get's to "give away" the bride to let some weird religious or governmental stranger perform "the service"!)

It was on a wonderfully sunny day within the thick walls of an ancient de-militarised Dutch fortress from 1881… outside was hot as the burning love between these two wonderfull people, inside was cool as an old forest floor.

There, amongst the gathered smiling faces of the people of our own familial tribes plus some close personal friends, the magical deed was done.

These two brave young hearts swore eternal loyalty to each other and to the continuation of our family bloodline in the form of their own growing family.

They already have one beautifull, healthy, baby boy, our grandson, called Louis, radiant as the Sun God Lugh. He was there smiling on the whole proceedings and having a wonderfull time… we have been given to understand that he might have some brothers and sisters joining the fun in the future… which we think is just amazing!

I could feel the presence of all our European Celtic and Germanic Forefathers looking down on the proceedings from the beyond and wishing the newlyweds luck, strength and heaps of Love and Life!

I tried to make the ceremony as traditional according to the ways of our culture as I could, because all the ancestors who came before us in our home-lands, remain with us and look upon us to continue their way of life… to honour their values…

to continue the traditions and customs that make us what we are…

Proud Indigenous Northern Europeans!

I wish all of you, no matter where in the world your culture has it's home,

the chance to experience the same feeling of timeless bonding with your own tribe in the land that gave you life!

Greenthingz, Love and wedding bells!
