The wheel of Time

It's my birthday today...

Birthdays always make me stop and wonder at the feeling left behind by the many years and many experiences that have gone by before and have all flowed off through the mists of time.

Sic 1985

Times of extreme joy, times of hardship, times of great reward, times of punishment.

All these years were lived by personal choice; all my decisions (good or bad) were mine to make.

In a life filled with passion and lust for living, combined with a heart that seeks only to do good and wishes for truth, peace, justice and generosity to others there can be only satisfaction on looking back at what was and accepting what is.

The years fly by, bringing constant change in the land of people and all they are connected to.

(let me assure you ...time flies like a very fast fecking flying thing indeed once you have clocked off a few years!)

You suddenly find yourself in a body that has seen some mileage

(and that I have forced to do all sorts of things it probably wasn't meant to do)

and it seems to be collecting scars and pains as if it is it's own personal hobby...

while your mind stays basiclly... euh...welll..."YOU".

My roles in life may have changed from "teenaged maniac" to "confused warrior" to "reluctant but caring father" to "poetic bard" to "underground pagan bandleader" to "pagan rockstar" to "amateur farmer" to "self-styled psychonaut/shaman" to "life-philosopher" ... and the journey still goes on...

This happens to everyone...

the costumes you may wear to express your status will change,

from school uniform, to army uniform, overalls or business suit,

your titles from "boy!" to "mister" to "sir"... but it doesn't matter.

The basic YOU that is YOU will always remain the same.

You will just gather more information about life...

The spirit remains youthful, because the spirit is unending.

I am still the unruly child

I am still the confused "adult"

I am still all those roles that I once put on to express who I am.

All the time Changing and yet remaining the same

Like our world.

The paradox of life.

Now I will step away from this laptop again and resume my day.

I will have no big party here ... all I need is my love and all the wild animals beside me

I will not take a free day off work... all my days are free for me to do as I like

I will not be burdened under piles of gifts... all of this life is a gift.

If not I would still like to congratulate you all on getting a day older in this circus we call life.

Live your life in the flow, find your passion and follow your heart everyday.
