The Story of OMNIA
How did OMNIA climb out of the Living History museums and on to the festival stages of a completely new scene?

Jenny was 22 , a classically trained pianist who also knew everything about Traditional Celtic music and ofcourse Neo-Celtic Harp player like no other…She had travelled around Ireland and California busking in the streets…and wasn't sure where the music was leading her.
Well…it led her to me! *
we fell instantly in love and our life became a magic garden of melody and song… first, we played music for each other (sigh), then we jammed together (mmm! ) , then almost immediately we wrote "BRAN" (whaat!?)..
(ofcourse we also ate, slept, and made enormous amounts of love… but this story is about the Music…. which fitted together in so many ways ! (like we did hehe!).
My old composition "the Morrigan" fitted exactly over Jenny's old composition "the Morrigan" (same key, same metre, complimentary melodies) so from this the full OMNIA version of "the Morrigan" was born
Jenny officially joined (what was left of) OMNIA, … this meant that we would have to change from being an Ancient Celtic/Roman living-history group (100 to 300 AD.) into a free Neo-Celtic Pagan band because Jenny played a Historically Incorrect Instrument !! (early 19th century harp)
But we decided: fuck history! (really! it's all fake anyway!)
We would just make the Pagan Celtic music we felt in our hearts!
OMNIA happened to be booked for a try-out show at the very first, very crummy "Gothic and Fantasy" festival in Holland (not a museum!) and darling Jenny joined us there for the first time EVER!
to great success!, the massive audience of 30 gothy-emo's loved it!
We were just 3 people then, Luka, Jenny and me…
BUT A new sound was born… primitive flutes, didgeridoo and drums
combined with classical chords and structures of the tall Neo-Celtic Harp,
and our voices and message... wove a spell on all who heard it…
the real OMNIA and her Unique Pagan sound were born!
Greenthingz and the roots of PaganFolk!

* I have already written the story of how Jenny and me met, it's printed in the intro piece of the"Naked Harp"CD…so you'll just have to buy that in our webshop if you want to know it)
